Account Fees

Due to recent expense increases at the Credit Union we are forced to restructure a variety of fees for services we provide for our membership. We have carefully selected the fees we will be adjusting and the vast majority of the membership should not see any increase in costs with a little careful management. These fees are currently in effec.A brief explanation of each fee follows:

NSF - $20 Whether we pay the NSF check, hold it, or return the check.
Stop payment on a personal check or a series of personal checks - $15
Cashier Checks - $2.50 on checks made to a third party after 1 free per month. This would not include any checks for loan disbursements or checks payable to members.
Wire Fees – outgoing $15.00
Stop Pay on a Cashiers check - $35 – this is the Credit Unions direct cost
Travelers checks – 1% of the amount
Check copies - $2.00
Automatic transfers from savings for check clearings - $5.00 after 3 free per month. You can initiate a transfer at anytime with no cost. However if the credit union automatically makes a transfer to cover an NSF check from your savings account, we will begin charging $5.00 per transfer after 3 transfers. This charge is easily avoided – keep enough $ in your checking account to cover your checking activity.
ATM transactions - $1.00 per transaction regardless of account. The cost of ATM transactions has risen dramatically. The credit union is currently paying nearly twice as much for our ATM card program as we receive in income. These expenses are directly related to the number of transactions processed on a monthly basis. Consider increasing the amount of each of your withdrawals rather then making multiple withdrawals daily or weekly.
Overdraft protection advances – Advances will be made in increments of $100 rather then the current increment of $25. This will apply to loan advances as well as savings advances. The change is being made to decrease the number of notification mailings we make on a daily basis.
